Our client is a leading solutions provider for the contract chemical manufacturing industry.

Due to expansion this new full-time position has become available.

In this role you will be part of the production team, and will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of filling plant and equipment as well as support the bulk blending and filling operations on site.

 Duties involve, but are not limited to:

• Providing repairs to plant and equipment as required, attending to breakdowns
• Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks as per schedule
• Bulk blending activities with water based chemicals
• Operation of liquid filling lines
• Completion of paperwork
• Other duties that may be required and are suited to your skills and experience

To be considered for this position, you must have:
 

• Proven mechanical ability in working with, and ability to repair mechanical and pneumatic equipment, in a liquid bottling operation
• Proven problem-solving skills in dealing with breakdowns
• Experience with handling hazardous chemicals
• Experience using liquid transfer equipment, including air pumps.
• Proven safety track record
• Attention to detail
• The ability to read and interpret work orders
• To be actively fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
• Available to work flexible hours to meet deadlines when needed
• Fork truck experience essential
