Job Description:

Our client is a national floorcovering wholesale distribution company servicing Australia for over 50 years. It prides itself in customer satisfaction by offering world class products delivered by their dedicated team.
 
In the position at their Fyshwick Trade Centre facility you will be responsible for planning, organising and controlling of the warehouse’s overall operation. Maintaining established processes to ensure outstanding service planning and executing promotional and local trade centre activities.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 
  • Responsible for full operation of the Trade Centre, including opening and closing, cash and inventory control and EFTPOS processing and reconciliation
  • Management of stock control, the receipt, storage planning, retrieval and ensure timely delivery of goods and at all times keep accurate records of stock movements by entering data into the computer system
  • Maintain and ensure the Trade Centre is always well presented
  • Ensure all trade sales are processed in accordance with the Company’s credit policy and procedures
  • Ensure WHS are adhered to within the centre
  • Arrange picking and dispatch of sales orders in order of priority
  • In conjunction with Territory Sales Manager organise events to improve customer relations and promote new product lines

Job Requirements:

To be considered for the position: 
  
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience in a senior warehouse/ logistical environment
  • Ideally a certificate in warehouse management or a similar certification
  • Reliable, able to prioritise daily tasks as required
  • Reliable, able to prioritise daily tasks as required
  • Good computer skills including data input
  • Prior experience in cash handling and reconciliations
  • Experience within the flooring industry would be viewed favourably
  • Physically fit as lifting is required
  • Forklift ticket
